Escape to the sun-drenched vineyards of Italy's deep south. We invite you to a wine-tasting experience featuring two of the region's most legendary producers: Statti Winery from Calabria and Cantele Winery from Apulia. Discover how ancient terroirs and coastal sea breezes shape some of Italy’s most exciting, vibrant, and expressive wines.
Statti Winery is a cornerstone of southern Italian viticulture, rooted in the heart of Lamezia Terme, Calabria—a region the ancient Greeks fittingly named "Enotria Tellus" or "Land of Wine". Managed by brothers Antonio and Alberto Statti, the historic estate dates back to 1784 and seamlessly blends centuries-old tradition with modern circular farming. Sheltered by local hillsides from intense maritime winds, the property features 100 hectares of prime vineyards dedicated to unlocking the vibrant, sun-drenched terroir of Calabria.
Cantele Winery is a premier estate in Puglia, situated in the heart of Guagnano within the sun-drenched Salento peninsula. Founded in 1979 by brothers Augusto and Domenico Cantele, the winery represents a historic "reverse migration"—their grandparents left the industrial north after WWI, falling deeply in love with the untapped potential of southern Italy's red soils. Today, the third generation of the Cantele family manages 50 hectares of estate vineyards (and upwards of 150 hectares with local growers). They utilize precision agriculture and partner with universities to produce clean, modern, and world-class expressions of Puglia’s native grapes.
We welcome Claudio Lattaglia from Statti winery and Matthew Den Haan from Vias Imports to share the wines with you.
WEDNESDAY, July 8th, 3-5:30 pm. $5 fee. Wine Club Members receive one free tasting per membership at every event.
