Strata Varia of Columbia Valley–Meet the Winemaker
Friday 3-5:30 pm.

July 24, 2026

“Strata Varia” derives from Latin and means “different layers”, referring to the layered vineyard soils, the varied landscapes of the Evergreen State —from the islands to the Palouse—, and the complexity that develops in wine over time.

Strata Varia Wines is the project of Brent Roberts (and his wife Kate), who, after about a decade spent working in wineries around Walla Walla, returned home to San Juan Island to focus on his own production of Rhône varieties. Using fruit from some of Washington’s best vineyard sites, this boutique winery evokes the style of Southern France while purposefully showing the character of Eastern Washington grapes.

We are excited to have Brent in house to pour these wines for you.  Our entire staff were greatly impressed with this project.

Friday, July 24th, 3-5:30 pm. $5 fee. Wine Club Members receive one free tasting per membership at every event.
