We are thrilled to show you these two projects. We are in the middle of many producers who have reached a point to move on and hang up the rubber boots and pruning sheers. Evesham Wood was founded by Russ and Mary Raney in 1986. After a comprehensive search throughout the Willamette Valley, they chose a site for the estate vineyard, "Le Puits Sec" (French for "the dry well") There they planted eight acres, three of Pinot Noir two each of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris and one of Gewurztraminer. Since then, four and one half acres have gradually been added.
In 2010 a new phase came into play. The young couple who owned Haden Fig winery were asked to carry the tourch of Evesham Wood. How it actually came about was a bizarre circumstance, but non the less it was and has proven to be the perfect transfer. Erin and his wife Jordon Nuccio happily took on the project.
This tasting is showing off the work of Evesham Wood wines. We have Amy Pickering in house showing the line up-
