The Eyrie Vineyards
Pinot Gris 2016
Willamette Valley, Oregon, $17.99
“The average vine age for Eyrie's Pinot Gris is 28 years old—Jason Lett says these were the first vines of Pinot Gris to be planted in the U.S. The 2016 Pinot Gris has a delicate nose of lime skin, lemon pith, orange blossom and wet stone with touches of crushed shell. Light-bodied, it offers plenty of ripe citrus and tangerine flavors in the mouth with a touch of creaminess to the texture, wonderful zesty acidity and a wicked streak of crushed rock minerality, finishing long and refreshing. 3,500 cases produced. 91.” Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate 238.
