Baja, Mexico, $38.99
In 2009, entrepreneur Fernando Pérez Castro founded Lomita Winery. It is nestled in the Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico’s most important wine region, and located just 15 minutes from the Pacific Ocean near San Antonio de las
Minas. They have been practicing organic viticulture since 2012 and are committed to being honest with the vines and making wines that express the terroir of the Valle de Guadalupe. Pagano is 100% estate grown Grenache, and one of the top wines La Lomita produces. Its extremely expressive aromas are reminiscent of roasted strawberry, cranberry, purple hibiscus flowers, and mint. The French & American barrique oak barrels add smoke, vanilla, cocoa and bittersweet
chocolate. This gorgeous wine is deep & intense with an incredibly long finish marked by the toasty oak. You can drink this while young, or lay this down in your cellar and be rewarded by patience.
