2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
Columbia Valley, Washington, $35.99

“Big and balanced aren't two words that normally go together. However, this wine is both of those things. Big - aged for 22 months in 100% French oak (65% new), nice and round tannins, and big flavor. Balanced - great acidity, fruit forward nose, and 13.8% alcohol. Notes of mocha, kirsch, and violets on the nose. The palate doubles down on mocha and is backed by black cherry and plum. Sourced solely from the striking Destiny Ridge Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills. Drink now or lay down for years to come… Pairs well with a simply seasoned beef roast, lamb tagine, hard, aged cheeses such as cheddar or pecorino, and braised red cabbage. Try it with a medium-rare blue cheese burger and you'll be in pairing heaven.” Winery Notes.
