Cadence Winery, Seattle Tasting
Red Mountain Bordeaux-style specialist, Sat. 2-4 pm.
October 28, 2017
After graduating from Ohio State University in 1985, Ben Smith made his way west and worked for Boeing in Seattle. While there, he immersed himself in Boeing’s winemaking club and volunteered at Chris Camarda’s renowned Andrew Will Winery on Vashon Island.
Encouraged by winemaking friends at Boeing, Ben decided to make wine commercially and in 1997, Cadence Winery was born.
Cadence Winery is located in a South Seattle industrial park within a stone’s throw of OS Winery and Nota Bene Cellars. The winery’s high ceiling and more than 4,000 square feet of space provide an ideal environment for blending reds and creating luscious flavors exhibiting lots of fruit and spice.
The name “Cadence” reflects the qualities of balance and harmony. That is precisely what Ben Smith and Gaye McNutt aspire toward. A harmony of blended red grape varieties that are harvested from their own vineyard, Cara Mia Vineyard in the Red Mountain AVA.
We have winery representative Heather Jeter in house pouring all the new releases.
Join us Saturday, October 28th No fee tasting.
